If you’re looking for ways to get more involved at your school or in the community, C2C is a great place to start! We offer programs and resources for education, health, and character-building. 

All C2C programs are free and focused on strengthening families across Santa Cruz County.

Thrive Outside

Thrive Outside - is Cradle to Career’s program dedicated to transforming our local park into a safe, welcoming, and fun space for youth.

Through community partnerships with Boys & Girls Club of Santa Cruz, Live Oak School District, United Way of Santa Cruz County, Flow, and Fuerza SC, we bring exciting activities like skateboarding and soccer to the heart of the neighborhood.

Together, we’re creating a vibrant place where kids can play, connect, and thrive!

Parent Advocacy

Uplifting parent voices and celebrating community power!

  • Parent Leadership Committees - Monthly meetings to build community and make plans to support our families.

  • PreK Hopes & Dreams - Parents know their children’s potential better than anyone. C2C hosts workshops for PreK families to explore the Hopes & Dreams parents have for their students.

Racial Equity Workgroup & Training - All students deserve the opportunity to succeed. C2C’s Racial Equity Workgroup is a team of staff and parents who are focused on addressing racism and promoting equity in Live Oak.

Farmers Market

Farmers Markets - Join us at our Farmers Markets, where local farmers bring you the freshest organic produce at a subsidized price! Explore the diverse local vendors offering artisanal goods, cultural foods, and delicious treats. Enjoy live music that fills the air with energy and joy while you connect with neighbors and friends.

This market is not just about food; it’s a celebration of community strength, bringing people together to support local businesses and foster relationships. Come experience the heart of our community!

Active Family Time

Zumba- Free Zumba classes for adults and structured recreational activities for children are offered during Active Family Time on Tuesdays from 6–7pm at Live Oak Elementary.

Yoga at SLVUSD - Join our Family Yoga sessions, where adults can enjoy a gentle, beginner-friendly class focused on stretching and stress relief while kids take part in a playful Yoga & Energetic Movement class designed to support their well-being. Led by an experienced instructor, these parallel sessions help adults unwind and children build tools for focus, grounding, and stress management in a supportive and welcoming environment.

CSA Boxes

CSA Boxes - Cradle to Career is proud to offer a free box of fresh, locally grown produce to our community members. Each box is filled with organic fruits and vegetables, helping support regional farmers while providing healthy, wholesome food for your family. There are no eligibility requirements—everyone is welcome to receive a box.

This program is available at all of our sites. To pick up your produce or get more information, please contact the community organizer at your local site.
